Dontnod Entertainment, the studio that brought us the fun game Life is Strange and Vampyr, is now coming out with yet another title. Twin Mirror is the new story driven game made by the studio, and will be coming to Xbox One, PC, and the PS4. As you can see from the trailer below, the game has a darker undertone that is being described as a psychological thriller.
We play as Sam, a man who returns to his hometown in Basswood, West Virginia. We’ve come back to attend our best friends funeral and are already suffering through a rough break up of our own apparently, so our mood is understandably low. However things go from somber to outright horrifying when Sam wakes up one morning in his hotel room with no memory of the previous night, and a shirt covered in blood.
So starts our journey, we must find a way to recall Sam’s memories and find a way to discover what happened the night before. The game, much like Life is Strange, will try to approach heavy themes: such as being able to come to terms with heartbreak where “the line between truth and deception is blurred.”
The game is slotted to be released in 2019 and has just been unveiled as one of many games that will be making an appearance at E3 this year for Sony. That said, if you’re interested in the game we will have more information for you once the Sony press conference comes about. That will happen on Monday, June 11th – so stay tuned.
