Destiny 2: Iron Banner Going Live
For those Destiny 2 lovers a new event has just gone live, the Crucible. Fans of the previous game will recognize the event, as it is a repeat from the last title. The event allows gamers to gain exclusive armor and gear, all through the usage of Tokens.
A few things to note, for those of you from the previous game, as a few changes have been made to the event compared to the past titles. First of all matches are now 4v4 as oppose to 6v6, meaning that you won’t have extra friends to depend on. That said, the matches are now being based more on ‘skill’ as opposed to Light levels. Developer Bungie even went so far as to state “Your fighting abilities, not your power levels, will decide the outcome”.
The Iron Banner event can be started by visiting Lord Saladin in the Tower, though it can’t be started unless you’ve finished the games campaign. So if you haven’t yet, get grinding quick. The event itself will last the entire week, and will reset on October 17th.
The Leviathan Prestige Raid was also meant to begin today as well, unfortunately a bug has forced it to be released on October 18th instead. Bungie had this to say on the issue “An exploit has been discovered in the Leviathan Raid that causes the encounters to be stripped of their intended challenge. To allow time to fix this issue, we are delaying the start of the Prestige Raid until next week. It’s important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn’t have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty”.
