Time at Portia: Open World Building Game
For gamers that like games such as Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, My Time at Portia is right up your alley in this open world, post-apocalyptic RPG. In this game though, instead of managing a farm you manage a construction shop instead.
In My Time At Portia, which can be found as an alpha on GameJolt, you can sell or build items to townsfolk. Or you can collect ore, fly around in your jetpack, get to know your neighbors, and even fight monsters. Your goal is simple, make the best farm… I mean workshop. To achieve that, you must compete against different shops by meeting the needs of the citizens in the area. Just like in the other games, doing anything requires you wasting your health and stamina.
The game features some decent customization options for your character, so you can get creative with your appearance. Check out the trailer for the game below:
Before you’re allowed to build anything, you need to scavenge the world around you to collect the material necessary for growth. Once all stocked up, you can user your crafting table and get to work, creating tools or other big budget items.
Overall, it seems like the type of game you can sink hours upon hours into without meaning to. Often coming out of a gaming stupor at the end wondering how you got so caught up in the game itself. That said, go check out the alpha – you don’t have anything to lose.
