The Longest Five Minutes RPG Coming To The Nintendo Switch
To those of us waiting to see more games to be announced for the Nintendo Switch, well here’s some pleasant news. The Longest Five Minutes, a role-playing game, is making its wait to the Nintendo Switch. The Publisher NIS America made the announcement during a panel at Anime Expo. The game had, until now, been only available for the PC and PlayStation Vita.
The next piece of news involving the game let gamers know that they would have to wait until 2018 before they could get their hands on it. This comes as a disappointment for those that knew the game was originally announced to release sometime in 2017.
The game was already released in Japan last summer on the PS Vita, putting the North American release on the back foot – as always. That said, the premise for the game seems interesting enough – check out the trailer below to get a taste for it.
As you can tell from the trailer, you start the game in front of the big bad itself – with absolutely no memory of yourself or why you’re here. The official description of the game is as follows: “Our hero faces the origin of all evil, the Overlord himself, but suddenly loses all memories of his adventure. His finishing moves, the name of his hometown, and even the reason he’s trying to defeat the Overlord in the first place, all gone. Our hero tries to regain his priceless memories before it’s too late, but the Overlord stands before him, his power unyielding! What can happen in the The Longest Five Minutes!?”
Seems like a stressful situation for a hero to find himself in suddenly, and one I wouldn’t be able to deal with if I was in the young protagonists position. I guess being a hero isn’t for everyone though.
