Shadow of Colossus: Might Be Different Than Old Game
A game that was happily met with welcome arms when announced at this E3 was the Shadow of The Colossus. The old PS2 game was announced as a remake for the PS4, though its creator Fumito Ueda wants the game to be a little bit different than the original despite not being directly involved in its creation this time around.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Ueda told them that he had submitted a list of changes that he wished to make to Sony. While he is unaware if Sony will actually take any of his ideas into account, he is still hopefully that some changes will be made to his original work.
Using a translator, Ueda said that “I transmitted my petition about the content and tuning but I don’t know the implementation will be what I told”. The translator went on to confirm that, “It’s [Ueda] who wants to change something, but he doesn’t know if it is possible to change all of the things he [wants] to change.” That said, what changes Ueda wanted to make remains unknown and remains a point of interest. After all, the game was well loved by many during its time, so what changes did Ueda wish he could make?
The remake for the game is scheduled for 2018, and is being handled by Bluepoint Games – a company that handles remastering old games.
