Mass Effect Andromeda: New Patch Adds In More Romance Options
The next patch coming to Mass Effect: Andromeda will be adding in a new same sex romance option for players to explore. This was done by BioWare in response to gamer complaints about the lack of same sex options back when the game launched.
The newest romantic option is Jaal, Ryder’s crew member and squadmate. Which was what many gamers were looking for, as Ryder’s romantic options were heavily out number by straight relationships. Worse yet, in some gamers minds, none of the same sex relationships available were ones that could be found close to home – such as your own crew.
That said, BioWare heard the complaint and hopefully fixed it by giving fans access to Jaal as a potential romantic option. Bioware’s Conal Pierse had this to say about the new relationship tree: “It seemed only natural that Scott could have a relationship with Jaal…We understand that a character’s orientation is an important part of what makes them feel real…The relationships with your crew are some of the most loved and cherished parts of our games, so we wanted to make sure we got it right.”
A few other changes have become available with the new patch. The full list can be found over on Andromeda’s blog – which you can find right here.
