Nintendo Online Free Until 2018

Nintendo’s official online gaming service will launch in 2018, or so says the official Nintendo website. Until then, everything from online competitive play to cooperative multiplayer features will be free. On top of that, Nintendo says it’s chat services will be available in a free limited capacity this summer.

After the free spell though, the price for the online services will be $19.99 annually. That said, it’s hardly an expensive price as far as online services go. It’s also important to note that all of the online play will require a Nintendo account, so if you don’t have one as of yet get on registering it.

If you aren’t interested in paying for a full year subscription, you can make shorter commitments for your online Switch play. All gamers will be given the option of either paying $3.99 per month, or $7.99 for three months.
