Overwatch: Changes to Reaper, RoadHog and McCree

On top of the newest map coming to Overwatch their are some changes coming to some of the characters we know and love as well. The changes concentrate on Reaper, McCree and Roadhog – making rather noticeable changes to some of their game play.

In the case of the Reaper, a completely offensive hero, his healing skill has changed. Whereas before his passive skill “the Reaping” ensured that he could collect health orbs from downed enemies it has been tweaked to be much more helpful. Instead of waiting for an enemy to fall, the ability allows you to turn 20 percent of all damage done to enemies into health points automatically.

Blizzard must have realized how hard the old ability was to use, as they had this to say: “Reaper’s old healing passive was useful if you could kill a bunch of enemies in a row…But since enemies needed to be dead for it to work, it wasn’t very helpful unless the situation was already in your favor. His new passive lets him get immediate benefit from it, especially when fighting Tank heroes, which tend to be larger targets that deal lower damage.”

With that huge change to Reapers abilities aside, their are a few smaller ones being made to other heroes. In the case of McCree, his “Deadeye” shot now gains more damage faster. Whereas for Roadhog his head hitbox has been reduced to increase the odds of survivability on his part.

All of these changes have already made it’s way over to the PC version of the game, but the rest of us have to wait a little longer before we get it on our consoles – so hold your breath.
