Star Wars: Battlefront II Official Release
Surprise, Surprise, it seems like an official release date has been given for the upcoming game Star Wars: Battlefront II after its recently leaked trailed. This trailer, which is essentially just expanding on the leaked one, confirms that the game will have a single-player story. The game itself will be released this November 17th on the PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
The story seemingly focuses on the Republic, and highlights a solider by the name of Iden Versio. That’s right folks, you get to be the ‘bad guy’, and seemingly recount “the day the real war begun” . Which so happens to be the day we blew the hell out of the Death Star. The trailer goes on to show a variety of characters from the Star Wars universe, from Luke Skywalker all the way to Kylo Ren.
The company tag line for the upcoming game is simple:
“Forge a new path as Iden Versio, commander of Inferno Squad—an Imperial special forces unit equally lethal on the ground and in space. Encounter many of Star Wars ‘ greatest characters in a story of revenge, betrayal, and redemption that spans 30 years.”
This introduction of a storyline is due to the amount of complaint’s that EA received from their first Battlefront game. Which, while fun, lacked a story mode that could have made fan’s love it even more. Thus they have crafted missions that will span across a selection of Star Wars eras, and hopefully touch fan’s hearts. That said, fan’s will also get the chance to participate in space fights. That’s right, for those of you who have the necessary skill to fight in the sky, you can join your friends as either Tie-Fighters or X-Wings and handle your foes. I personally hope their are infiltrate and destroy the enemy carrier missions, as those were an awful lot of fun in earlier Star War games.
