Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is Shaping Up to Be A Long DLC
It’s common news that the Uncharted series has finished, though it pains me to say that. That said, it’s also well known that Naughty Dog has decided to bring us one last tid bit of Uncharted fun in the form of a stand alone DLC place in the Uncharted world starring Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. Both of whom are strong female characters that have appeared within the series and were quite well received by fans.
While saddening that Nathan Drake won’t be making an appearance in the game, it is awesome that the game is shaping up to be quite a long adventure by DLC content standards. As the developers at Naughty Dog have just announced that The Lost Legacy might be over 10 hours long.
That makes me a tad bit giddy, as I’ve been depressed since the game ended.
Arne Meyer, Naughty Dog’s head of communications, said that they just couldn’t “keep it short”. Meyer went on to reminiscence about the first Uncharted game and how the company was “asked if we were ever doing a single-player expansion for Uncharted”, the company line at this point was simple, “Well, we don’t have the self-discipline to do that…If we tried to do that we’d create a full game”. That said, it seems like they are staying true to their word and slowly creating a game out of this expansion.
It’s important to note for people wanting to try out this game that you don’t need to have Uncharted 4 to download it, as it is a stand alone. Comparably the last DLC that Naughty Dog made to a hit game was for the Last of Us. Though it didn’t compare in length, as the DLC, titled Left Behind, only lasted 3 hours in length. However it’s story telling was superb and a definite must have for fans of The Last of Us franchise.
For those of you looking to have one last goodbye with Uncharted, grab this game. Whenever it comes out, as we still don’t know.
