Stardew Valley: Collector’s Edition Arriving Soon
Stardew Valley, the super popular indie game that was released in 2016, is finding itself with a collectors edition this April. Stardew Valley, for those of you who haven’t played the suprisingly fun farming simulation, is a role playing game developed by ConcernedApe. In the game, players take on the life of a character who has gotten tired of life in the city. He decides he has had enough, and moves out to the country – taking over his grandfather’s overgrown farm. From there, it’s up to characters to make the farm successful, managing their energy levels, exploring dungeons, and mingling with the people of the neighbouring town.
While amazingly simple, the game is actually hours of fun packed into a simply pixelated world. I often found hours, and hours, of my day wasted in front of the computer as I played this game. The calming music and the rewarding nature of seeing both your farm, and your relationships with the villagers, grow was something I thoroughly enjoyed.
The game will be released on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this April 11 and will come with a few goodies for those of you who are huge fans. The Collector’s Edition will include a physical copy of the game, and it’s soundtrack. On top of that, it will also include a Stardew Valley Guidebook, and a map of the town you live beside, Pelican Town. The cost for this Collectors Edition is minor, costing around $29.99 – thus something worth thinking about for fan’s who prefer physical copies of video games, much like myself. Another thing to mention, for all you Nintendo fans, is that the Nintendo Switch is expected to get a port of the game sometime this year. Though the when of it is still unknown,
