Seasons of Heaven
System: Nintendo Switch
Release: Date: TBA 2017
Games that don’t involve some sort of violence, or over the top game mechanics, are often far and few between these days. Even rarer are the games that can touch you with no words, and merely an on going story that is meant to draw you in.
That’s what Season of Heaven, coming to the Nintendo Switch exclusively from indie studio AnyArts Productions, seems to promise for me.
Seasons of Heaven’s story is based on a small french novel of the same title, that I was unaware of until this games introduction. It concentrates on a world where the human race has been more or less seemingly wiped out, with only a handful of survivors.
This is their story.
The game concentrates on Yann, a young boy with Asperger’s syndrome, and his little french bull dog Ani. It seems to be a story meant to help us under stand the growth of the characters, and be a suprisingly moving title – much like Journey for the PS4 was.
I’m surprisingly optimistic for this title – though I’m always ready to be disappointed by video games these days.
